My husband and I do not have a child who attends here, BUT as we were driving past this place today we saw a young child walk out the front door by herself (crying) and walk around the back of the building with no adults in sight. If you’ve seen this building, it’s a big place and a long way to walk on little feet! I hopped out of the car and ran to the front desk to inform them that there was an unattended child outside.
The front desk lady jogged with me around back and intercepted the child.
When we arrived, a teacher from the back walked out and when she saw us she seemed to become very defensive - as if we were inconveniencing her day by stepping in to make sure this little girl didn’t get TAKEN. The front desk lady said the teacher was the one who the little girl belonged with. The teacher rudely just kept repeating in an aggravated tone “Yeah I know, she got upset because she dropped a coin.” even though we weren’t rude. What does her dropping a coin have to do with her escaping totally unattended??
It’s not completely the teachers fault of course, because we watched the little girl walk right out the front door of this place so she obviously walked past the front desk as well. I just think it’s crazy that she was crying as loudly as she was and somehow got past not one teacher, but one teacher and two front desk ladies, out the door and a two minute walk to the back of the building. Crazy stuff.
