Iron Horse Christian Youth Ranch is an amazing place! I spent so many hours out there from the time I was 14 until I moved when I was 16. Susan Kamlan is an incredible teacher and mentor, and I learned so much about the horses, the rescue, and myself during the years I volunteered. Being there is like being part of a big family. My mom would drop me off at the beginning of the day and I'd stay all day to work with the horses, clean up around the ranch, and be part of the day to day activities. I earned my horsemanship certification while I was there and eventually started helping with the programs for the younger kids.
